History
The 1996 Terry Labonte No. 5 Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Chevrolet Monte Carlo is an iconic car from one of NASCAR’s most memorable seasons. Driving for Hendrick Motorsports, Labonte won his second Winston Cup championship, 12 years after his first title in 1984, edging out teammate Jeff Gordon by 37 points in the final standings. Despite Gordon winning 10 races that season, Labonte’s consistency and late-season comeback secured the championship. The red, white, and blue Kellogg’s-sponsored car remains a recognizable symbol of 1990s NASCAR and a defining piece of Terry Labonte’s racing legacy.
