History
Toyota joined the NASCAR Cup Series in 2007 after first entering the Truck Series in 2004. As the first new manufacturer in NASCAR’s top level in decades, Toyota quickly built a competitive program through Toyota Racing Development and teams like Joe Gibbs Racing.
Toyota earned its first Cup Series championship in 2015 with Kyle Busch and has since become one of NASCAR’s top manufacturers, known for the success of the Toyota Camry in modern stock car racing.
