The "Hippie" Porsche 917, officially the 917 LH (Langheck), raced at the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans in a striking psychedelic green and purple livery designed by Anatole Lapine for the Martini Racing Team. Nicknamed for its counterculture-inspired design, the car featured a 4.5L flat-12 engine producing around 580 hp and reached over 240 mph thanks to its aerodynamic long-tail body. Driven by Gérard Larrousse and Willi Kauhsen, it finished 2nd overall, cementing its place in racing history as both a technical marvel and a visual icon.
